Build your business with Traineeships
Traineeships combine high-quality, real-life work experiences with learning to help young people aged 19-24* to gain the skills they need to start a new career.
They give employers a chance to inject young and enthusiastic talent into your business. And the government will pick up the bill.
There is no cost to an employer, with everything already fully funded. The government will even offer a £1,000 incentive per trainee each employer takes on, up to a maximum of ten. Traineeships give you the opportunity to work with and help to develop young people without the financial commitment of taking on an apprentice.
Each traineeship typically lasts between six and 12 weeks* , with a minimum commitment from an employer to offer 70 hours in the workplace. Each young person will be expected to be in work for two or three days a week in work, with the rest of the time spent learning with us.
Traineeships don’t have a set shape either. We’ll work with you to develop a programme to suit the needs of both your business and the young person. You’ll get someone dedicated to improving themselves and bringing fresh ideas to the table, enabling you to improve your capacity and productivity.
These programmes are a great way to develop your talent pipelines and unlock the potential of the next generation entering the workforce. Experience shows that trainees who progress onto employment within a company remain hard-working and loyal. As time goes on, you’ll have the opportunity to build up a workforce that is closely aligned with your company values.
We are looking to work with employers in Wales, the West Midlands, North East, East Midlands and Yorkshire and Humber to offer traineeships.
*Traineeships in Wales are for young people aged 16-19, and typically last between six weeks and 12 months.
